Today, I went to a local department store at noon to buy a gift for a staff member's 60th birthday.

Maybe because it's travel time, there were a lot of people there.

It was hard to find a parking spot, and there were lines of people at the handkerchief corner and the sweets corner.

This is the fourth staff member to receive a 60th birthday gift.

Everyone is really good at their jobs and works hard, so I'm grateful every day.

The gift I'm giving to express my gratitude is Baccarat's Mille Nuits Fruitissimo in red.

This is a beautiful item with a delicate cut, so I chose it as a turning point in life.

When I bought it two years ago, it was 30,000 yen.

Last year, the price went up to 40,000 yen.

Wow, I was surprised that it went up that much, but I thought it would be nice to have the same thing... so I bought it.

When I went there today, it was 60,000 yen.

I was told that the price had risen because the product was no longer in production and there were only a few left, but it's normal for the price to rise that much.

I can't buy this, I'll reconsider.

Now, from Yamaga City, Kumamoto Prefecture, I received a set of 7 smoked cheeses and smoked nuts made by a smoker.

I ordered it on January 15th and it arrived on March 21st.

The cheese has a great smoky aroma and is really delicious, and goes well with the naturally sweet nuts.

It's perfect as a snack to go with alcohol...I don't drink alcohol, but I enjoy it.

It's a small piece of cheese, so it doesn't feel like a good deal, but it's great for a little luxury.

It arrived on our 25th wedding anniversary, so my family and I toasted it with carbonated water and enjoyed it.
