Testing is a bit challenging as there are two different connector pins, and they perform different functions but the most effective method of testing it is to measure resistance between the sensor and the ECU. When the sensor is operational, it should be reading about 1000 ohms. Look for evidence of coolant or oil in the connector bay if you are experiencing issues with this part.

Yesterday, as i was accelerating off the highway paytoll at maximum speed I noticed a significant drop in power. It was as if the engine had run out of gas. Or my injectors weren't firing. I pulled out the spark plugs this morning, three were drenched in gasoline and the fourth was unclean. I put a piece of tissue over each injector hole and when I start the engine with no sparks, the 3 that have gazoline pop right out. The 4th one stays shut. I inspected the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55,30/55 and 48/55 I get zero Ohm. I assume that the problem is elsewhere.
I also tried to reset the PID but with no luck. The car can start if the G28 is unplugged and runs fine when it is connected however it is experiencing intermittent misfires at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62), even when it is unplugged, shows an ice temperature of -49c. Also, i noticed that the gauge for oil pressure in the cockpit is showing 2 bar while the actual pressure is 0.0 if i crank up the engine.
I don't know what to do. I think I've ruled everything else out. I'm worried that i might have missed something. Let me know If you have any suggestions! TIA!

The fuel pump in the g28 can be activated by a signal by the RPM sensor.
